• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in AR and medical billing (multi-specialty experience is a plus).

• Strong knowledge of insurance claim lifecycle, denial management, and payment posting.

• Familiarity with major payers such as Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, Aetna, UHC, etc.

• Experience with billing software (e.g., Kareo, eClinicalWorks, Athena, AdvancedMD, or similar).

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collection of outstanding claims.

• Follow up with insurance companies on denied, underpaid, or unprocessed claims.

• Submit corrected claims or appeals as needed.

• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), remittance advice, and correspondence to reconcile accounts.

• Contact insurance companies and patients to resolve billing issues.

• Process and post payments, adjustments, and write-offs accurately in the billing system.

• Maintain accurate records of follow-ups, denials, and collections efforts.

• Work closely with the billing team, coders, and providers to resolve discrepancies.

• Generate and send patient statements; handle incoming calls regarding account balances.

• Meet monthly AR collection targets and KPIs.

• Stay updated on insurance regulations, payer policies, and billing guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Medical Billing & Coding (e.g., AAPC, AHIMA) is a plus.

• Experience working with EHR systems and clearinghouses.

• Bilingual (English and Urdu preferred but not required.
